Meet Silly Sam the Music Man

Eric “Silly Sam” Halvorsen has been performing and writing songs for over 30 years and writing children songs since 2006. As Silly Sam he teaches an original music curriculum, weekly, to pre-schoolers during the school year at 8 area pre-schools. He also performs concerts & shows for schools, festivals, churches, libraries and birthday parties across the state of Florida.

In addition to performing and teaching, Eric has owned Clowning Around, a children's entertainment company in the Tampa, FL area for 25+ years. Prior to Clowning Around, Eric was teacher and director of “The Growing Tree” a school aged Child Care Center in Richmond, VA. He also has worked with the Mendez Foundation as a cast member in their Hillsborough County “Too Good” show and as a musical collaborator on their “Bully Prevention Show”.
